Overall PE Experience 2013

to start off this post, i thought i'd put my marks right near the beginning.

m=minutes // s=seconds

M   o  s  t     R  e  c  e  n  t

Planks- 5m 12s     Sit-ups- 34     Running- 1m 36s     Push-ups- 30

B     e     s     t

Planks- 5m 12s     Sit-ups- 34     Running- 1m 32s     Push-ups- 32

my Plank time of 5 minutes and 12 seconds is by far my best Plank Time. i've never gotten that close. Test conditions were not the same, which made me want to do my last Plank 'test?' with music, SPICE IT UP. and surprisingly distracted my mind into music and when i was near the end of the song i heard " keep going " and took my headphone out and saw/heard i was the last one. Felt amazing to achieve something like that, It has never happened. I'm usually last ( not winner ) or im the person who helps and such. I could shed a tear drop for those 4 seconds i couldn't beat :'/ ... and another tear for the 3 push-ups i needed to pass my best. HOWEVER.... Smoking did play a role, a few weeks after the start of PE Class, stress came into play from my surroundings, making smoking a go to to relax. for so long I said " smoking is bad. " even before i began smoking. but its better to be quiet then to be a hypocrite. after running i could feel my body racing, which is why I am so glad I don't NEED this class again. not that it wasn't fun but somethings were not my cup of tea, but others shouldn't miss out on the opportunities i missed out on, great class to gain something from... every other PE class has been Half-Participants and the rest just there get a PE mark which = not fun.
but having this small class was by far the greatest. Everyone got a long, teams and Everything. i couldn't have asked for a great end of the Term.

Weekly Blog Post #1

So having to keep a blog with P.E is new. HAVE NOT had to record how my P.E experience(Goals, What I did, Did I meet my goals ) through A Blog.
Should be called Physical Education With Blogging....................................................................................
otherwise its mis-leading.
Other then that....
My Not-Set-In-Stone Goal is to Run some type of event by my 19th Birthday, I have never done one before. At the Gym Yesterday ( Wednesday, June 26. 2013 ) I did a 10 min Run on the Treadmill going from 1.5k for first 5 minutes then rising to 4.5km for the last 3 minutes, Decided to try the Stairs Machine but it felt more awkward then on a Treadmill. So I hopped on the Treadmill again and did 0.5 mile Run. at 4.5 km/h and at an incline of  8% - 12% . Although i would like to run some event, but for the time being , it isn't possible for my situation right now.

Self Assessment On My Active Living

I have shown I am willing to participate by making sure the dust is cleared in the air before class has started.     All throughout my years of being and school and having to do P.E ( Physical Education )   It was never fun because it was always full of kids who were more into then others.      When it came to getting marked, mine didn't match up to other kids in the class, never bothered me because I don't feel the need to keep up with people who had a different mindset then me.      I was more Board-games,Computer, Card games - Solitaire, Scrabble, etc...-   was never competitive which is why I would let students go ahead me, for me, and if they needed ammunition for a game ( like dodge ball - Ball - )   I would gladly pass them the ball.      Some things in P.E. ( Physical Education )   and sports day were good but having some people who played sports outside of class made the each teams more competitive.      My attitude isn't always the brightest, especially when its a class that I don't really want to do, but I do want to do ( this class )   because this P.E. Class of 2013 has been more fun then any other Class i have been in through all my classes of P.E.   ( Physical Education )

What does "Leadership" mean to you.

Anyone and Everyone can be a leader it all depends if you want to joke around with your friends and not pay attention to the teacher then you are a perfect example of NOT being a Leader. If you help people out who need it, help set up, listen to teacher, clean up, any other things the teacher needs help, that equals an Ideal Leader.

Goals For Fitness

My goal for Physical Education (P.E) is to jog/Run as much as I can, slowly pushing myself to go further eachtime. My ultimate goal for the near future ( with in the next 2-3 years, maybe next year ) is to run "x" amount of km's for a good cause, like the Sun Run. I have never ran one and would really like to experience it. I'll know I have achieved it by doing a big run and self reflection.

Food Matters

Seeing the movie " Food Matters " has helped me get a better understanding of eating healthier, we are what we eat. My motto with food has been " you are what you eat" ever since i can Remember. In the world we live in today it seems more then ever, hard to find a balanced Diet with all the Fast-Food places scattered throughout the city. People want to be in, and out, if they wanted to wait to eat they'd go to a Restaurant and pay more. The most important lesson I have  learned from Food Matters is that its better to consume Raw and plant based Foods. Eating More vegetables and Raw foods that aren't cooked would be more beneficial for my health and my families health. One thing I would suggest for the community and others who want to help make their life better and healthier would be to Start eating vegetables and if they are even more ready(or like it both ways) slowly start eating raw fruits and vegetables and build your way up(or down, since you may/may not cook the food)

Thoughts About P.E.

I believe that everyone is different so therefore having said that, i think if students choose and can engage in Physical education with what they are wearing it shouldn't be a problem. for cooking class you aren't required to be wearing a chefs apron or bring  your own oven mitts for taking things out of the oven now are you? No.
I have never liked P.E. that is perfectly OK because i do not see myself on becoming a NHL player or NFL player(etc...)
small league, big league whatever the case, definitely, NO.
there is always the risk of breaking a bone in the body, Sprains and Strains... not what I would want to happen to me.
